In order to volunteer in Children's Ministry, you must meet the following criteria:
1) Been attending Oakwood Baptist Church regularly for at least 6 months.
2) Complete a Ministry Questionnaire.
3) Have a background check done by Oakwood Baptist (current).
4) Complete a 1.5 hour online training certification (every 3 yrs).
Cost:
Shirts are $6.99 a piece (if we order 10 or more) for sizes Small - X-Large; otherwise they are $12.99 a piece.
For sizes 2X-Large and 3X-Large, add $2 each.
For size 4X-Large, add $3 each.

Baseball hats are one size fits all. They are $5.99 each if we order 5 or more; otherwise, they are $8.99 each.
Age Description:
4 years old - Kindergarten are the Pre-Primary age groups that have their own rooms and activities. They do attend the opening and closing assemblies.
1st grade - 5th grade are the Primary school age groups that have rotations during VBS.
Choose ALL positions in which you are interested in volunteering.
Descriptions:
1. TROUPE LEADER for PRE-PRIMARY - guide a group of children 4 yrs old -rising 1st grade
2. TROUPE ASSISTANT for PRE-PRIMARY - assist leader with group of 4 yr olds-rising 1st grade
3. TROUPE LEADER for PRIMARY - guide group of children rising 2-rising 6th grade
4. TROUPE ASSISTANT for PRIMARY - assist leader with group of children rising 2nd- rising 6th grade
5. STATION LEADER - teach a group of children in Bible, Science, Craft or Games
6. STATION HELPER - help leader teach a group of children in Bible, Science, Craft or Games
7. ASSEMBLY LEADER - lead the opening and closing ceremonies on the stage in the sanctuary
8. SECURITY TEAM - patrol grounds to ensure safety of children/volunteers from 6-9p
9. TECH MINISTRY - run lighting, sound, projectors, and microphones during the
assemblies and Bible lessons in the sanctuary
10. HALLWAY MONITOR/ GREETER - monitor a bathroom/hallway during 6:30-8:40p OR
greet parents/children in the lobby 5:30p-6:05pm
11. REGISTRATION - handle paper registrations for walk-ups or check-in for pre-registered
children
12. DECORATING/ SET BUILDING - decorate the church buildings/rooms 1 week
prior to VBS
13. PREP TEAM - create decorations as demonstrated (cut, paint, build) or prep
materials for science/craft
14. DRAMA TEAM (Pre-assigned)
15. SNACK CREW - prepare snack each night and serve the children during all 3
rotations between 6:30p-8:40p
16. BREAKDOWN CREW - assist in taking down hall decorations and room
decorations on June 30 (PM)/ July 1 (AM) OR Lobby/Sanctuary decor on July 2
after Worship service
17. PHOTOGRAPHER - take photos during VBS 6-9pm
